The Ascent Adventure alpine experience course was an awesome experience for me. I couldn’t have imagined how beautiful Mt Baker is without having gone up onto the glacier in person. The scale of the landscape was surprising and beautiful. I feel empowered with knowledge, gear and experience to explore the world in ways I couldn’t have before. I’ll still need more training and experience but I have an idea now of the size of the steps along that journey.  AAC and my guide, Jason, were great at helping me to take the steps one by one out of my comfort zone and into this new realm of experience. Thank You!!  I think anyone who has done a little backpacking and some long hikes, could transition into Alpine climbing with this course.  Learning self-arrest was as much fun as skiing or sledding for me. Jason is a great and patient teacher. Thanks!
