<h4>CPR Add on Course Available Friday Night July 17th for an additional $50.00</h4>
<p>Wilderness First Aid is a good basic course in backcountry emergency response for almost any location. This 16 hour course is for those who work, live or play in remote areas – away from the usual EMS service. Even though the emergency workers near these areas may be trained to search for and rescue those in need, there may be a delay in the notification of assistance, the time required to get to the patient, or in moving the patient to more advanced treatment. It expands the concepts in First Aid: When Help is Delayed to give more detailed information and hands-on skills practice.</p>
<h3>The Course Will Cover</h3>
<ul>
<li>The difference in WFA and street FA.</li>
<li>Causes &amp; prevention of wilderness injuries</li>
<li>Seven Steps of of a  wilderness first aid response</li>
<li>First Aid treatment for specific wilderness conditions</li>
<li>Patient transfer and evacuation</li>
</ul>
<p>The course content will cover general WFA.  There will be an emphasis on climbing and mountaineering situations.  Students successfully completing the course will get American Red Cross First Aid Basics certification.  You take add CPR certification for another $50.  The CPR portion of the class will take place on the evening Friday, July 17; location to be determined.</p>
<h3>What is the class size and course length:</h3>
<p>The class is designed to have up to 12 students and to be 16 hours long</p>
<h3>What prerequisites are required for a participant to take the Wilderness First Aid Basics Course?</h3>
<p>There aren?t any prerequisites for taking WFA</p>
<h3>What minimum age is recommended due to the serious nature of the course?</h3>
<p>15 years old</p>
<h3>What is the certification period of the Wilderness First Aid Basics course?</h3>
<p>3 years.</p>

<p>During the 90 minute time period, the session will be repeated several times (15 minute sessions).</p>
<p>No sign ups are necessary, and the demo is FREE with admission to Triangle Rock Club.</p>

<p>On the Third Tuesday night of every month, from 7:00-8:30 PM, Ascent Adventure Consultants&#8217; professional climbing guides will demonstrate an important skill that applies to making the transition to climbing outdoors. Each month will cover a different skill.</p>
<p>During the 90 minute time period, the session will be repeated 5 times (15 minute sessions).</p>
<p>No sign ups are necessary, and the demo is FREE with admission to the Triangle Rock Club!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h4>Moore&#8217;s Wall, located in Danbury NC, is often named the Gateway to the Mountains, as it is the closest cliff to eastern North Carolina. It boasts of 250 foot walls that host some of the best routes in North Carolina. On this trip, climbing on top rope, participants will have the opportunity to climb roofs, chimneys, cracks and everything in between, up to 200 feet off the ground, due to the versatile nature of the cliff. No experience is necessary.</h4>
<h3>Travel Information</h3>
<p>Group will meet at Moores Wall Parking Lot at 9:00am. If clients are travelling from the Raleigh/Durham area, carpooling can be arranged. The trip will conclude at 6:00PM.</p>

It is an ideal place for climbing, due to its easy trail approach, and its variety of climbs. It offers easy to difficult climbs, satifsying any climber type! The cliffs are shy of 100 feet, giving everyone ample opportunity to climb the routes that they desire to.</h4>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h4>New Hampshire is home to some of the best climbing in the country. The amount of climbing and the proximity of world-class climbing areas to each other, makes it the ideal place to spend a long weekend rock climbing.</h4>
<p>Cannon Cliff contains the only real big wall climbing on the east coast. With spectacular routes that can take up to two days, most can be done in a half day and even alot of one or two pitch climbs. This area is extensive with lots of unexplored rock on both sides of the valley and some of the United States oldest rock climbs.</p>
<p>Cathedral is New Hampshire&#8217;s best trad climbing destinations. Here you can enjoy a wide variety of climbing.</p>
<p>The cliffs of Cathedral Ledge, Whitehorse Ledge, Cannon Cliff, and numerous others are home to hundreds of moderate routes that will thrill climbers of any experience level. Come join us on this New Hampshire Climbing Weekend!</p>
<h3>Equipment/Misc. Items</h3>
<p>All technical climbing equipment will be provided, including harnesses, shoes, and helmets.</p>
<h3>Travel Information:</h3>
<p>The closest town to our climbing areas is North Conway NH. If you are flying, Manchester NH is the airport that you should fly in to. Depending on where you are traveling from, carpooling may be available with guides and/or other clients.</p>
